Imagine something is not good. But it is not bad either. It is just 'meh'. This word helps you say that. It is a soft way to say you do not like something much.

Other words are much stronger. 'ウザい' means 'annoying'. 'キモい' means 'gross'. These show strong bad feelings. 'ヤバい' can mean 'terrible'. This is more direct than 'ビミョー'. 'イマイチ' is like 'not quite right'. 'ビミョー' is similar but is newer slang.

Use this when you want to say something is not good. But you do not want to be too direct. It helps you avoid sounding mean. It keeps things friendly.

    〜だ / 〜だった

This means 'is' or 'was'. It is the casual way to say 〜です and 〜でした.
