    This is different from 'BよりAのほうが'. That means 'A is more than B'. This phrase means 'A is the same as B'. You use it when things are equal. You use 'BよりAのほうが' when one thing is better or bigger.

    Don't use this when you compare actions. For example, you cannot say "食べるのと同じ" (the same as eating). You need to add "こと" or "の" before "と同じ" when you compare actions. This makes the action a noun.
