    This makes you sound very polite. You use it when talking about your own things or places. It shows respect to the person you are talking to. Think of it like bowing with your words.

    This is different from 〜でございます. 〜にございます tells where something is. 〜でございます tells what something is. For example, 'The book is here' uses 〜にございます. 'This is a book' uses 〜でございます.

    Watch out: Do not use "~ni gozaimasu" for people. Use it only for things. For people, use "~de irasshaimasu" or "~ni irasshaimasu". This is more polite. For example, say "The manager is in the meeting room." Do not use "~ni gozaimasu" for the manager.

    This word means 'there is' or 'there are'. You use it for things that are not alive. It also means 'to have' something.
