You use 'お' with Japanese verbs. You use 'ご' with Chinese verbs. But some Chinese words use 'お' if they are very common.

This is a polite form. It is like the plain form 'お/ご〜になる'. But this form is more polite. The past tense is 'お/ご〜になりました'.

Watch out: This form is for actions of others. Never use it for your own actions. For yourself, use 'お/ご〜します' or 'お/ご〜いたします'. For example, do not say '私がご説明になります'. Say '私がご説明いたします'.

Don't use this when the verb stem is very short, like "見る" (to see). Don't use it for verbs that have their own special polite forms. For example, use "いらっしゃいます" instead of "お行きになります" for "to go".
