    This phrase shows you really care about others' feelings. It's like asking, "Will this bother you?" You use it when you want to be very polite.

    This is like saying "Is it okay if I...?" It is more formal than "〜てもいいですか." It asks if you will bother someone. It is not as humble as "〜させていただいてもよろしいですか." That form lowers your position more.

    Don't use this when you ask about something you already did. For example, you cannot ask "Was it okay that I left early yesterday?"
