    Imagine 〜終える is like using fancy stationery. 〜終わる is like using a regular pen. Both write, but one feels a bit more special or official.

    This is different from 〜きる. Both mean to finish something. But 〜終える just means an action stops. 〜きる means you finish something completely. It often shows you used all your effort.

    Don't use this when the action happens very fast. For example, you can't "finish dying" or "finish arriving".
