    This word can sound like you are gently teasing someone. Or you are kindly pointing out their mistake. It's like saying, 'You should have known this already.'

    This is different from "〜やで" and "〜やねん". You use "〜やで" to tell someone new information. You use "〜やねん" to explain why something is happening. You use "〜やん" to show surprise or remind someone of something.

    Don't use this when you talk to your boss. It is only for casual chats.

    Use this when you notice something new. You want the listener to agree with you. It helps you feel closer to the person you are talking to.

    This is a Kansai way to end a sentence. It means "it is that..." or "I'm telling you, it's...". You use it to strongly explain something.

    〜だ / 〜だった
