This word shows what someone else wants. You can see it in their actions or words. Sometimes it can sound a little like they are acting childish.

This is different from '〜が欲しい' (ga hoshii). You use '〜が欲しい' to say what you want. You can also ask someone what they want. But you use '〜を欲しがる' to talk about what someone else wants. You can see their desire. Also, 'が' is used with '欲しい'. 'を' is used with '欲しがる'. This is like '〜たい' for yourself and '〜たがる' for others.

Don't use this when you want something. For example, don't say "I want a new computer" using this word. Instead, say "I want a new computer" using the word "hoshii".
