    This phrase sounds very official. It is like saying, "Because of X, we did Y." You use it for important news or business. It shows that people thought carefully before acting.

    This is different from '〜にこたえて' (ni kotaete). That means you respond to feelings like hopes or requests. This is different from '〜に応じて' (ni oujite). That means you change what you do based on something that changes. This is for reacting to one clear event or piece of information.

    Don't use this when you get a physical thing. For example, don't say 'プレゼントを受けて' for 'received a present'. You can use it for things like news or advice. You can also use it for orders or criticism.
