    This phrase is like saying, "Are you serious?!" or "Are you kidding me?!" It shows you are upset or do not believe what someone said. It is a very strong and rough way to speak.

    This is different from 〜のか. That just asks a question. This is also different from 〜のかよ. That shows surprise. 〜ってのか challenges someone directly. You use it when you want an answer about something specific they said or did.

    Don't use this when you want to be polite. It sounds very rude. This is for angry talks or fights. You hear it a lot in anime or movies.
