This phrase is like saying 'Of all times!' or 'Of all people!' when something bad happens. It can also mean 'especially for this person' when you trust them a lot.

This is different from '〜に限り'. That phrase is for rules. It is for things like 'only members'. This phrase is for feelings. It shows surprise or frustration. It is about a special situation.

Watch out: Do not use 「〜に限って」 just to say 'only'. If you want to say 'Only I can do it', use 「私だけができる」. Using 「私に限ってできる」 means 'Especially for me, I can do it' or 'Why would you think I could do it?' It shows a special case or surprise.

Use this when you want to show you are annoyed. Something bad happened at the worst time. Or it happened to the wrong person. You are surprised by this bad timing.
