    How you say "darou" changes its meaning. A downward tone means "probably." An upward tone asks for agreement. This can sound strong, like you are very sure.

    だろう is the casual form of でしょう. だろう can be shortened to だろ. だろ sounds more direct. You use it to ask for agreement. For example, 'He will come, right?'

    Use this when you ask yourself a question. You are thinking out loud. You are wondering about something. For example, you might say, "I wonder why he did not come."
