    This form is for things you do for another person. It shows respect to them. Don't use it for things you do only for yourself. That would sound strange.

    This is different from 'お + V-stem + する'. You use 'ご' with words that come from Chinese. These words often have two kanji. You use 'お' with words that are originally Japanese. 'ご + V-stem + いたします' is even more polite. It makes you sound very humble.

    Don't use this when talking about yourself with verbs like '食べる' (to eat). This pattern is only for certain Japanese verbs that came from Chinese. Not all of these verbs work with it. For example, you can say 'ご連絡します' (I will contact you). But you usually don't say 'ご勉強します' (I will study). You would just say '勉強します'.
