    You usually use に for the person helping you. But you can use から too. This is like getting help 'from' someone. It feels a bit more formal. You might use it for a teacher or a company.

    This is different from "~te kureru." That means someone does something for you. "~te morau" means you get a favor. It focuses on your benefit. "~te kureru" focuses on the other person's action. "~te morau" is a neutral phrase. If the giver is higher status, use "~te itadaku."

    Watch out: Do not mix up "~temorau" and "~saseru". "~temorau" means someone does something for you. You get a favor. "~saseru" means you make someone do something. Or you let them do it. For example, "I had my child eat vegetables" (for me) uses "~temorau". "I made my child eat vegetables" (I forced them) uses "~saseru".
